About Us

We’re a club that’s heading in the right direction.

Our 1st XI, led by our young captain Ryan Moore, have won two promotions in the last five years, our 2nd XI began their climb up the league structure by winning the former Cherwell league Division 7 comfortably in 2019, and in the same year our 3rd XI had its most successful season for many a year.

What’s more, thanks to our flourishing junior section we’re entering a 4th league XI in 2021 for the first time in a decade.

With our four League sides spread throughout the newly amalgamated Cherwell League structure, we can rightly claim to provide playing opportunities for all abilities.

And if League cricket isn’t your thing, we’ve got a Sunday friendly XI too.

But we’re not finished yet – and we can’t wait to find out how far we can go.

Why B&NOCC:

These successes haven’t happened by accident. They’ve come about because we’ve got a group of players who love playing together, and sharing each other’s successes.

Any club worth its salt can offer you the chance to play at a standard suitable for you, but we like to think we go above and beyond that by giving you the chance to improve, progress, and do things you didn’t think you could.

We’re incredibly lucky to have two top quality coaches at the club in the form of ex-B&NOCC players Gary Sansome and Paul Jeacock, both of whom played for the Club in our Home Counties Premier League days.

Gary is one of just a handful of ECB Level 3 qualified coaches in the County, and Mutt has taken more Cherwell and Home Counties Premier League wickets than he’s had haircuts.

They’re a key part of our recent successes, and are as excited as anyone about what we can achieve together.

Off the pitch we’ve got a busy social calendar including organised events like Race Nights, quizzes and casino nights, as well as regular, impromptu nights out after games on Saturdays – win or lose, everyone invited.

What next?

Once Covid-19 restrictions are eased, we’ll begin our 2021 pre-season at our Akeman Street ground in Chesterton every Tuesday and Thursday from 6pm. If there are restrictions on the number of people able to train at a time, we’ll be using our online booking system to manage numbers.

You can also find out the latest goings on at B&NOCC by signing up to receive our regular newsletter, following us on Twitter and Instagram, or on our Facebook page.

If you’d like to know anything about the club that you can’t find here or elsewhere on our website, you can get in touch with 1st XI Captain Ryan Moore.
